ABOUT TAMARA

Hi! I'm Tamara and I'm both a Registered Acupuncturist and Registered Massage Therapist. I have over 10 years of massage therapy experience with a background in sports injuries, musculoskeletal pain, MVA (motor vehicle accident) injuries, therapeutic and relaxation massage. From 2016-2019, I studied Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at MacEwan University. Throughout my career, I've worked out of physiotherapy clinics, chiropractic clinics and am just recently expanding into my own home-based business. I love what I do and strive to give my patients and clients the best care possible. I am always eager to broaden my knowledge with continuing education courses and I am currently earning my Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences.

ACUPUNCTURE
A great treatment option for muscle aches and pains but also treats a wide range of conditions such as migraines, chronic headaches, insomnia, anxiety/stress, digestion issues and more. Please send me a message if you have any questions about acupuncture!
MASSAGE THERAPY
A massage is a great way to loosen up those tight muscles and help you relax! Just let me know your reason for booking (therapeutic, relaxation, an injury, motor vehicle accident, etc). I offer 30, 45, 60, 75 and 90 minute treatments.
FIRE CUPPING & GUASHA
These modalities fall under acupuncture but I use them quite often and want to give you some info on them! Guasha and cupping can work great for sore muscles. In a way, they feel similar to a massage. These modalities can help increase blood flow to the affected tissues and loosen up tight muscles and fascia.
MOXIBUSTION & ELECTRO-ACUPUNCTURE
These two also fall under acupuncture. With electro-acupuncture, a machine is hooked up to the needles and an electric impulse is delivered through them. You will feel your muscles (comfortably) twitching with this. It helps relax the muscles, provide pain relief and can help reduce inflammation. Moxibustion is the burning of herbs (usually mugwort) over acupuncture points. It is often used in "cold" conditions to help circulate Blood/Qi and warm the body.
